With a sacred motto of  "MANAVA SEVA MADHAVA SEVA", translating to "Service to Humanity is Service to God," we passionately upheld our commitment to both cultural heritage and social welfare for over three decades.

We have been a driving force in organizing a diverse array of cultural programs, fostering artistic expression, and preserving traditional art forms. From music concerts, dance performances, theater productions to art exhibitions and literary gatherings, we consistently provides platforms that celebrate and promote the rich cultural tapestry of Kerala.

In addition to our cultural endeavors, the Trust has been dedicatedly involved in charitable initiatives, channeling efforts towards uplifting the underprivileged sections of society. Through various outreach programs, philanthropic drives, and welfare activities, the organization has made a tangible impact on the lives of individuals in need within Vasai and its neighboring communities. Be it supporting education, healthcare, providing aid during natural calamities, or aiding marginalized groups, we have exemplified our commitment to serving humanity.

Our Story

Thapasya Kalavedi, established in 1992 by a group of passionate individuals from Kerala, holds a cherished legacy deeply rooted in cultural preservation and social welfare. Since its inception, Thapasya has been a trailblazer in fostering cultural richness and community service.

 

Noteworthy events like the All Mumbai Drama Competition in 1992 and the grand Keralotsavam in 1995 showcased the splendid ancient arts of Kerala, featuring renowned artists presenting Kathakali, Chakyar Koothu, Sopana Sangeetham, among others. The organization, recognizing academic excellence, instituted awards for S.S.C. toppers and organized creative competitions—short stories, poetry, essays—aimed at nurturing the talent of Mumbai Malayalees.

 

Thapasya also provided platforms for young talents through competitions in Bharatha Natyam, Light Music, Folk Dance, Pencil Drawing, and Ramayanam, encouraging their artistic growth. Committed to the welfare of society, the organization initiated various charitable endeavors, including blood donation camps, free medical check-ups with renowned doctors, eye operations, distribution of spectacles, and support to medical institutions like Sanjeevani Hospital and Tata Memorial Hospital.

 

Thapasya also extended educational aid to a visually impaired student, organized Hepatitis 'B' vaccination camps, conducted seminars addressing contemporary issues, and arranged cultural gatherings during festivals like Onam, Diwali, and New Year. Moreover, the organization commenced Malayalam coaching classes for children of Mumbai Malayalees and offered expert training in Bharatha Natyam, Mohiniyattam, and Carnatic Music for the past three years, imparting cultural wisdom under the guidance of accomplished trainers. Thapasya Kalavedi's journey is a testament to its unwavering commitment to cultural enrichment and benevolent service, leaving an indelible mark in the hearts of the community it serves.
